It’s time to get excited about the future, and the astrology is buzzing! This winter might have driven you indoors, whether you were feeling zapped of energy or down and out with the weather, but you’re running out of excuses – it’s time to get out of the house and get creative, and thanks to the Full Moon Leo, you’ll have fantastic opportunities this month. February 16 is your day of great opportunity, and you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to command attention, and seek new possibilities. All eyes are on you!

Did you have a happy Galentine’s day? Valentine’s day is just around the corner at the time of this writing, but you might want to pop in and check on your loved ones to remind them you care. A flower, a bauble, or a note that shows you care will go a long way!

The week of February 13 begins with the Moon moving into opposition to Mars, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn as she enters Leo. After Mercury re-enters Aquarius on Valentine’s Day, your senses may be reeling with the Valentine’s Day sensitivity and passion, stirring up self-expression, lustiness, and romance as the moon culminates in Leo.

The full moon in Leo on February 16 enhances our romantic vibe, but even better, even though Venus and Mars will be in opposition, they will also be aligned! Venus and Mars will join on this day as well. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other, Venus and Mars come together in an energetic dance. The full moon in Leo illuminates love and relationships and finds in them balance. The sensory alignment of Venus and Mars is passionate, and with Venus’s pragmatism and Mar’s action, will start a cycle of putting security, finance, and loyalty on our list of relationship priorities.

Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius should expect to find themselves buzzing with this cosmic energy, as you’ll feel it the most, especially if you have rising signs, sun signs, or moon signs in your natal chart.

Best of all, this moon in Leo should be helping you connect with your creative self. You may have a stellar project in the making, a true creative pursuit, or maybe a major issue that requires creative thinking to see it through. What a time to bloom! This week’s festive full moon in your sign will not only clear things up, but will also awaken your heart chakra and remind you to care for inner self. Use this moon to connect with your inner talents so you can shine through your unique self.

January 17, 2022 – Cancer Full Moon Astrology Forecast

Our first full moon of the year is rising in your sky, dear Cancer!

This moon has potent meaning for everyone, with Cancer being a cardinal sign. We had a taste of another cardinal sign earlier this month with the Capricorn New Moon, and Cancer will hit us in our home sector, our sentimental lives. We may see our families suddenly change, whether it’s where we live or how we live. For all Cancers, Capricorns, cardinal signs, or those with personal planets in Cancer, this full moon will pull you into action, and you will need to exercise mindfulness and self-awareness to make sure the actions you take are for the best. What you choose will ring changes in the future that will last potentially through the year and farther.

Beginning with the Full Moon in Cancer, with the Moon opposing Pluto and the Moon trine Venus, the week will start off with a bang and taper into a series of turbulent, turbulent, and turbulent events that will eventually converge as the week approaches. In like a lion, out like a lamb! With the first full moon of the year in Cancer, our focus will be on comfort, security, and stability. But will we achieve it?

In particular, if your personal planet is within 5 degrees of the Full Moon (27 Cancer), you will be positioned to harness this powerful energy, making you more industrious and productive. Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, you will feel this pull powerfully!

The January 17 full moon at 28 degrees Cancer, as it will mark a major moment in your personal life, events leading to a climax and or a resolution of something that had been the source of great tension before. These tensions may be to do with a break up with a lover, the ending of a relationship with a family member, a pending move, or maybe a significant career change. This moon will help you find the balance between your life and work as the rubble clears.

There will also be an opposition to Pluto with the Moon in Cancer at 27 degrees, conjuncting the fixed star Procyon, sometimes known as the little dog star. Pluto will be pointing to the ways that power influences our lives. It may be that corporate rules, a function of the law, is deciding a pathway in your life, and creates a road block that cannot be moved. If it can’t be moved, you will need to go over, under, or around the obstacle. How you do so will be critical, as your choices will include both legal or illegal means. Choose wisely when you come across solution to your problems. Procyon, the little dog star, sometimes bites!

But fear not, you will be given opportunities to deal with the emotional intensity of this full moon. Take them as they come, they will help you resolve problems and eliminate elements of your life that are not serving your best purpose. Deep clean your life, your social circle, your routines and home life. You may find your feelings will deepen, and you will want to schedule some time to yourself for reflection and serenity.  It’s a perfect time for self-care.

The moon is dignified in Cancer. Even in turbulent times, the moon is shining upon you in a happy place, and should lead you to good outcomes, even if unexpected tensions occur.

Energetically this Moon has some pleasant moments mixed with more angular alignments, so we might ride an emotional rollercoaster. The Sun is poised to move from Capricorn to Aquarius, and while this may lighten our burden a little, we will have to contend with the limiting energy that comes from the Moon in opposition to Saturn. The opposition can have a depressing effect, as we feel restricted or constrained. You may be facing a New Year’s diet resolution that is chafing against your expanding desires for comfort food.

Uranus is direct! Expect chaotic disputes, disagreements and behavior, and fortunately, when the week is over, we will be saved by a lovely trine from Venus. Arguments, frictions, will be smoothed over. You may even see a monetary increase, or a lucky win! This Cancer moon is all about water. Like water, be willing to go with the flow. You will only tire yourself out by fighting the tides, but if you are willing to let go and be fluid, hidden blessings will come your way. Expect resistance from within at first,, but know that the more you go with the flow, potential and possibilities will open up to you. It will be worth it!

If you’re feeling like the start of the new year has been especially sleepy, you’re not alone. When the Sun enters Aquarius, you will feel more in your element as the energy for the coming month will be focused on less home-career change and drama. The stability you find this month will set the stage for you to explore more from a safe distance, striving for knowledge and objectivity. Most likely, this full moon period will highlight the need to combine work with family or personal life. You will use this time wisely if you engage in the work of healing or forgiveness.

November 19, 2021 – Taurus Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

November 19th is more than only a full moon in the sign of Taurus – it is also a powerful lunar eclipse.

There is always a span of 2 weeks for cycles of full and new moons, but for a lunar eclipse the effects can extend a month before or after, or in some cases the changes they bring can be even more powerful and echo long after they have happened. Are you ready for what this lunar eclipse in Taurus will do for you?

Traditionally, the moon is exalted in Taurus, an excellent position to feel your best and delight in emotional comforts. But, we have more than the moon with us on this night. The moon will also form a square with Jupiter, the happy go lucky planet of fortune, and also form a trine with Pluto. This is an incredible aspect meant to shake things up and could even mean some of you receive a sudden and unexpected windfall.

We also need to remember that Venus is a big deal during this lunation, since she rules Taurus (and Libra!) She is preparing to go into retrograde and will enter her shadow in Capricorn on November 17, and this will have an interesting effect on our lunar eclipse.

We may feel more compelled to consider our sense of security as it relates to our finances, our quality of life, and the comforts it affords us. The big a-ha moment in connection with the eclipse may have already shown itself, possibly in small ways that eventually become too big to ignore – maybe something went missing from an account, the budget was off, a discrepancy has you questioning something you thought was solid. The money may be just the tip of the iceberg that causes you to awaken to a new understanding of your current situation, whether it’s strictly a matter of numbers or a relationship that needs changing.

The moon is in charge of our intuition and emotions. It is in the fixed sign of Taurus, and the sun is in the fixed sign of Scorpio. Venus and Uranus will offer support, with the sun and Pluto in nice alignment. However, keep your wits about you, as Mars and Uranus will not be as well supported. Mars and Uranus will be in opposition to each other, Mars in Scorpio and Uranus in Taurus.

With Thanksgiving about to be underway in the next week, recent politics and the general public mood are going to create some heat at many dinner tables. People will be hot tempered and might find themselves less compromising then they have been. Mars also rules police and military, and it could be that there will be more run ins than usual with enforcement. Stay safe during the holidays and resist over indulging!

For this eclipse, the fixed signs will feel it keenly since this is where the sun and moon will be, but the north and south nodes are in mutable signs. While we are used to and perhaps even feel comfortable with our current arrangements, the shifting energy of this eclipse will force us to move into new friendships, acquaintances, living situations, or environments. You are yet another step further in a journey that may have been kicked off during our last tumultuous new moon, or only just getting started. Stay centered and focused. Since this Taurus-Scorpio eclipse cycle is just starting to kick off in our cosmic sky, everything that happens during this November eclipse is likely to be only part of the story. This impending eclipse is the first eclipse to occur on the Taurus-Scorpio axis – changes are coming, and they will continue to come for about 2 years as the cycle runs its course.

November 4, 2021 Scorpio New Moon Astrology Forecast

November’s new moon is the preview leading up to the November 19 eclipse, so mark your calendars! Things are about to change, some slow and some fast, but be sure that you will look back on events and only see the changes in hindsight.

The New Moon is a new beginning and explosive because it is in Scorpio and is in exact opposition to Uranus, the planet of genius, knowledge and radical change. Also in play, lucky Jupiter in the air sign of Aquarius, while the sun will square Saturn the disciplinarian. As the Sun moves into Scorpio this year and the Moon and planets in our solar system move at different speeds and patterns, each of us will experience this new moon and the upcoming eclipse changes in unique ways.

The new moon rising high in the sky on November 4, 2021 and casts us through a Scorpionic journey to get to the bottom of everything. Expect friction and sudden change, but these moments of tension will bring us in touch with our deep emotions and private fears. Scorpio brings the gift of inner spiritual wealth if you are willing to peer past the occulted and move with it.

Scorpio rules elimination, and this will be an excellent new moon to clear out the old, in anticipation both of the upcoming eclipse and also the new year into 2022. Consider your new projects and initiatives, you may wish to revamp how you see yourself and how others see you, and you may even be looking at your current partnerships or romances and wondering if there is something more exciting around the corner. You won’t know until you commit to more changes, some of which will be easy and some difficult, but all will require your full commitment and conviction. This new moon will help you kick off a cycle of personal intentions.  If you are stuck in a stagnant place, you can use the energy of the New Moon to bring about a change in your life. This New Moon is aligned with inspiring change and thinking about what needs to be changed in your world, so move forward and adjust your intentions accordingly.

Venus, planet of love, pleasure, attitude and money, moves into Capricorn on November 5. Now may be the time to block and delete romantic connections that no longer serve you. Social media or a dating app might be the stage for your next romantic adventure. Alternatively, you might find technology brings you unexpected benefit in work partnerships. This proves to be part of Venus’s good fortune, and if you play it right, it could be quite lucrative!

The fixed signs will find themselves balking at change that the new moon presents, but gather your courage and shift perspective! Especially for Taurus, who is going to feel the earth shake when the full moon lunar eclipse strikes on November 19 — take note, and be ready to meet new challenges. If you are already familiar with Scorpio depths, you may feel challenges less, and reap the benefits. Examining methods of self-improvement would be well supported by this new moon.

With three planets in Scorpio, Mercury, Mars and the Sun will bring even more energy behind this full moon, highlighting action, goals, and communications. Scorpio will support your financial goals as well, encouraging the gathering of resources that will culminate with Scorpio’s polarity, Taurus.

Venus will be involved, moving into Capricorn on November 5, this earth sign will lend you grounding strength and extra conviction, lending even more support to the upcoming lunar eclipse. Scorpio will flirt with your greatest fears, but the new moon can help you overcome them and take the leap. Venus will ask you questions about what you desire, how others see you and value you. While Scorpio may intensify the feeling of seriousness, but keep your door open for the possibility of whimsical fun.

October 20, 2021 Aries Full Moon Astrology Forecast

The Sun and the opposing Moon will bring your domestic life and close relationships front and center in your life with the beginning of the full moon and into the next two weeks of the lunar phase. Oppositional forces, like the considerations of the workplace versus pressure at home, get you where you need to be and where you want to be, the same way tension and pressure creates diamonds, any stress now will have a purifying effect by the time you come out on the other side of it.

Pay attention to relationship dynamics during this phase. In the sign of Aries, we tend to be focused more on what we want and need, just as though we were children — because Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and represents children, and all those ego centered needs. Don’t get too lost in the Aries pull! Take the time to understand your motivations and think of others. You will see that relationship dynamics and negative feelings are the cause of schisms.

Your mood is strong, and if you have something in your head at that point, just like Aries the ram, it might be a little headstrong and willing to fight! This Full Moon in Aries will show a clear miscommunication of feelings and passion. Not only will those with strong Aries influences feel the pull of this full moon, Libra, the opposition sign to Aries, will also be touched by this strong cardinal energy.

If you have a personal planet less than five degrees from the full moon ( which occurs at 27 degrees of Aries), you will feel an explosion of confidence – use it wisely to advance for noble goals or good causes rather than collide with others to get to the top. Think back to the prior new moon on October 6 – were there any projects that began then that might be reaching an intense pitch now? With Mercury retrograde just out from under us, and more planets wavering in their retrograde places, we might be inclined to think back on the past and see how much we accomplished and what still remains to finish. Many will be relieved to know that we are emerging from the chaos of retrograde Mercury and that retrograde Mercury is coming to an end as we free ourselves from its shadow period.

The influence of the 20 October Full Moon combined with the influence of a New Moon on the 6 October and its conjunction with Mars will continue to produce energy, passion, initiative, anger, vengeful spirit.

Part of the reason is that the Aries Full Moon opposes Mars in Libra and squaring Pluto in Capricorn. Hot on the heels of Mercury finally going direct, Aries energy will be there to give more fuel to the fire. Passion and desire and physical expression are all features of this brazen and bold energy. At its best, it can inspire heroic acts.

Use this Aries energy to explore your inner warrior, the glory of your physical body, both in sex and action, push your limits to discover your own leadership and take on the leader role in your own life. It is a time for yourself, and also, what you can do for others in your personal life. Make room for others, and deepen your understanding of the most important relationships in our lives, and our egos will begin to wane.

This Full Moon will put your usual commitments to the test in order to keep things in order, so it is time to let them go to defend your needs and personal ties. You may face a power struggle or related showdown with your so-called dating, business partner or close friend. The opposition of the Sun and Moon creates harmonious contact signals, so this is a good time to get projects under way, apply for a job you’ve been thinking about, or look for a new income opportunity you thought you didn’t have.

June 24, 2021 Capricorn Full Moon Astrology Forecast

This is a time of sensitive and fluctuating moods, and Cancer moon natives will feel this especially. A wonderful time to concentrate on arts, hobbies at home, aligning with the nourishing effects of water, helping loved ones, keeping shy from strangers and keeping one’s private life hidden from public view.

Capricorn Full Moon on June 24 at 3 degrees will be in close proximity to the Galactic Center, bringing us the potential for success, ambition, honesty and spirituality. This is an excellent lunar phase to repel lies and defy deception, carried through with the undercurrent of the solar eclipse from June 10. The spiritual significance of the full moon correlates with buoyant feelings, euphoria, and a desire to give more, and receive in turn.

This full moon in Capricorn at 3 degrees will create different types of tension, relating to the fact that the moon is least comfortable here, but still generous – the moon wants to be in Cancer, but has no choice but to be in its Fall in Capricorn, where it gazes upon the place it wishes to be. Whether this Full Moon brings a climax, achievement, end or turning point depends on where it falls in your rising Sun sign. Be aware that if you are a Cancer focused person with aspects relating to this house and sign, you may have a harder time expressing yourself emotionally during this time, but career may hold different challenges or successes if you are able to achieve a balance in this polarity.

The Full Moon falls in the house of career or public exposure, making the last days of the month ideal for a presentation or launching an important project you have been working on. This will not stop you from concentrating on what matters most to you. You might want to refer to June 14 and compare how this full moon affects you now, as that date was an important aspect involving a Saturn and Uranus square. You may feel the reverberations through this Capricorn moon, which is ruled by Saturn.

Your ambitions may come alive in both career and the public face of romantic relationships, forcing you to work for what you want in work and play, emotionally. Express how you feel and remind yourself that hard work has rewards, if you are patient. Stormy emotions will dominate the day of the Full Moon.

Earlier this month a new moon and solar eclipse opened new doors to you in the area of relationships. It would be fantastic if you could develop new relationships with your partner and do new things in bed together, but passion is not fuelled by love. Do not expect things to manifest immediately as these doors are special and can take a while to open.

Venus in the late degrees of Cancer may be reserving gratitude for you efforts in relationship. She may offer more potential for love and leisure, a time for play. With this Full Moon, the mood is set fore the betterment of relationships that you have been steadily nurturing, not only in romance but in teamwork and work partners. Investments will pay off, and it will be a doubly good time to seek out new investments, planting the seed now for greater fortune later.

The Sun in Cancer at 3 degress, and Venus at 27 degrees of Cancer, while Moon and Pluto (Earth) are in Capricorn, resulting in polarity. With Moon in Cancer, celebrate the success of long-term professionals and others with the notoriety and authority necessary to follow the call of your craft or knowledge in professional and employment life. As the Moon moves into Capricorn and your ambitious vocation house, your visibility and how your present yourself will illuminate the position you occupy in public.

This aspect promotes a little selfishness in a way that makes us take care of our own needs. A balance between these two energies must be found and this Full Moon invites us to do so. This builds us up in the time and energy that cosmos demands of us, but also lets us down.

Lean into a little work-life balance. Remember how you felt during the full moon and lunar eclipse of Sagittarius on April 26. The eclipses delivered their messages through to last month on May 26. Other energies will present messages on June 26, echoing in the aftermath of the lunar eclipse. This full Moon will also bring into focus all matters regarding work from home situations, remote work, and telecommuting as the energies of home and career are united, in the same way that the moon (home, private life) is united with the sign of Capricorn (career). The world is slowly and steadily transforming from the initial effects from the pandemic, and we may be a bit shell-shocked in this recovery phase as we pick up the pieces.

An optimistic and generous sextile to Jupiter will shine upon us. Take advantage of it when the opportunity for feasting, parties, and big thoughts arise. With more and more people getting vaccinated, there is a general cultural mood and desire for celebration. Jupiter will be inviting many to come out of their shell and party more. Moveable feasts will be around every corner as the world comes alive.

Mercury recently came out of retrograde on June 22 and is now in the shadow period. From now until July 7, your confused messages and thoughts from the past few weeks will begin to clear up. After three long and uncomfortable weeks of miscommunications, meltdowns and malfunctioning planets, communication will finally be back on track. Jupiter’s happy sextile will be in the mood to help you celebrate.

A Pox On Our Houses: Solar Eclipse at 0 Degrees of Cancer, June 21, 2020

This post contains affiliate links at the end.

When? Jun 21, 2020,  2:41 AM

What? New moon, Solar Eclipse at 0 degrees of Cancer

A new moon solar eclipse occurs at 0 degrees Cancer on June 21, 2:41 am, and represents great shifts happening in our homes, our family lives, and our emotional selves. New moons have always been a great time to start new projects, but this new moon’s intense energy and proliferation of retrograding planets make new projects both daunting and difficult to maintain for the long term. A square from Mars and Neptune in Pisces confronting our emotional Sun and Moon also throws a wrench into our plans. More so, Cancer is a cardinal sign of beginnings and endings, with the mother of all events when it comes to beginnings and endings: the new moon eclipse.

We have Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto retrograding. It should be understood that the larger planets have regular retrogrades that form the background of our day to day lives and are not generally intrusive in the same way that Mercury, Venus, and Mars are. It is Venus and Mercury’s retrograde that will make the launch of any new project more difficult than usual. And while no one need let the stars stop them from signing contracts and making important decisions that cannot be put off, you may well end up having to go back over these or re-doing them.

Complicating matters is that Cancer is also a sign that oversees breakups, endings and beginnings. There are going to be people moving out of homes, finalizing divorces, or breaking up. Given the pressures of the pandemic that have been building up between couples at home, if partners were able to avoid each other’s difficult traits because they could distract themselves with entertainments and trips before, all that began to unravel once everything was shut down. Now, as things open back up, people will be wanting to reassess what their relationships are going forward — and they may not resemble what they were before.

The square from the sun and the moon in Cancer contacting Mars and Neptune in Pisces will also come into play with these watery signatures. Don’t fight against the tide, or you will only wear yourself down. It is better to go with the flow and stay with the trends. Mars in Neptune is having difficulty finding his path clearly, and is bound to get angry if he feels lost — which of course, he will. Mars in Neptune will not express well, and in an effort to avoid responsibility, looks to perpetuate cycles of abuse to avoid confrontation.

Saturn, at 0 degrees of Aquarius in retrograde, is turning back around to take care of something he forgot, and he intends to address the situation with our potentially abusive Mars. The sextile from Saturn provides not only a stabilizing force, but an energy similar to a father who is tucking his head inside a door to check on the unruly kids. The law will hold when Mars tries to get away with breaking things. The only problem here is that Pluto and Jupiter are conjunct in Capricorn, at 24 and 25 degrees. They have increased potential for amplifying destruction during this period. How much damage will they do by the time Saturn comes around to check on things? Quite a lot, as it turns out. Lay low for this lunation until the storm has passed.

Mercury in retrograde at 14 degrees of Cancer is going to rewrite the way we conduct our relationships. An obvious part of this is how people who are doing online dating are choosing to facetime or make video calls rather than meet in person. Double check your appointments, schedules, contracts, and look into any home maintenance you’ve neglected. Now might be a good time to fix that plumbing issue that’s been plaguing you.

Venus is still forging her retrograde path at 5 degrees of Gemini and trining (loosely) Jupiter and Pluto while she’s at it. This will quicken the complications of Venus in Gemini’s chatty sign, increasing communications and increasing potential lovers – choice paralysis may be a feature of this contact as we struggle to find the balance between too many options — with difficult results.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and so any love affairs that are not only impacted by Venus’s troubles will also be impacted by the miscommunication exemplified by Mercury in retrograde. In Gemini, this should be a double dose of difficulty. Additionally, if your romantic life isn’t highlighted, Venus may show up as losses or bad investments. Keep an eye on your resources and made sure more isn’t going out the door than you can handle.

Uranus in Taurus will continue to shake things up, speaking of resources. Restaurants, arts and entertainment — all those lovely luxuries that Taurus loves to enjoy, are still dealing with the fall out of the pandemic. But as more of them are reopening across the country, we are going to be faced with a new way of doing business for these venues — or no business at all. Expect more people to save money by staying in and learning how to make their own lavish dishes, but on the bigger stage of our lives, we may be watching a huge shift in resources that is affecting our lifestyle in a big way. Everything has changed, including the way we reckon with money as a nation and the free time we find ourselves with as a result from working from home.

(Post edited to reflect that Venus in Gemini trines Pluto and Jupiter, as opposed to originally reporting that it was opposing. Thank you to Antony for the catch!)

Stars By Design Now Has A Video Channel

We posted out first video over on YouTube. The crazy lady with the multi colored hair is me.

You can watch me talk awkwardly on camera about the latest new moon post here:

This is my first real foray, and I’m learning a lot about what goes into making videos. This is just the initial splash, so there’s already a lot of plans to improve things. My bigger plan so far is also to take these videos down once they are no longer relevant, so they won’t be available for longer than a certain period of time yet. I hope you’ll join me in the new part of my media journey!
