This lunation marks a critical event: slow moving Uranus moves into 0° of Taurus from Aries. Uranus brings his rebellious spirit into earthy Taurus, Venus’s domicile. We can expect the spark of genius and innovation to express itself through matters of wealth and resources, of beauty and romance, making Uranus’s element of surprise rooted in the practical, rather than the fiery brashness of Aries. Very exciting indeed!

As this event gets underway, we look to the luminaries. The sun is at 8° of Gemini, the third house of siblings, communications, and short term travel, opposing the full moon at 8° of Sagittarius, the 9th house of foreign cultures, high education, travel and publishing. We can expect such issues to occupy our time at this lunation.

Mars at 4° of Aquarius trines the sun at 8° of Gemini, quickening the force and effect of our communications as well as flavoring it with the typical Aquarian spirit, that of rebellion, uniqueness, and detachment.

Uranus at 0° Taurus will also square Mars in 4° Aquarius, suggesting a clash of energy between practical matters and a desire to progress to new ground. Taurus likes to be slow and steady and Mars will feel more headstrong under the Aquarian influence.

Venus at 11° of cancer forms a watery trine to Neptune at 16° of Pisces. This can be a wonderful time to explore one’s artistic sensibilities and be swept away by a romance. On the downside, this can be over emotional, with people feeling martyred or victimized if indulged in too far.

This could come into play as Venus at 11° of Cancer opposes Saturn at 7° of Capricorn, retrograde. Should an authority figure impose rule on weepy Venus in Cancer, she may evade responsibilities by playing the victim. It could also indicate an issue with finances, overspending or difficulty paying the bills. However, if we’ve been diligent and responsible, we stand to gain from Saturn’s stabilizing force.

Jupiter at 15° of Scorpio retrograde will exacerbate this condition through a trine to Venus, amplifying, whatever situation we find ourselves in. Between Venus and Neptune in their respective houses, a Grand Water Trine forms. Occupations concerning water may benefit, and in particular, we may find ourselves inundated with inspiration, intuition, and creative impulse that taps deep into the well of our subconscious.

Mercury at 29° Taurus also makes a semi-square to Venus, which may cause problems with communications and misunderstandings that take time to unravel – at this anaretic degree, be aware of arguments that have the potential to end relationships. Strive to be diplomatic.

Saturn at 7° Capricorn retrograde will inconjunct the sun at 8° Gemini and once again, difficulties or challenges with communications, particularly in chains of command will be highlighted.

Pluto at 20° Capricorn will semi-square the moon at 8° Sagittarius so be aware of conflicting interests as Pluto may be challenging us with restrictions through career, and our emotional selves concentrated on matters of education, travel, and publishing.

~20TH MANSION OF THE MOON: AL NA’AM~

The ostriches. Helps the taming of wild beasts, strengthening of prisons, destroys the wealth of societies, and compels a man to come to a certain place. With moon here, build, ask favors, but do not marry.
