This full moon at 9° of Scorpio may find us ruminating on issues intensely personal to our human experience and unique to Scorpio: sex, death, taxes, transformation, elimination, debts, divorce, inheritances. With the sun at 9° Taurus and the moon occupying the opposite sign, we can expect that this lunation has much to do with our sense of security as it regards home, the emotional environment of the moon and wealth and manifestation. Finance and control of finance may be highlighted.

Saturn occupies Capricorn at 9° moving retrograde so that we may have time to look over structures we built. If Saturn finds our actions, our intentions, wanting, he will want us to rebuild anew or tear it down for us. This is particularly evident for this lunation as he forms the majority of aspects to the personal planets and luminaries.

Saturn at 9° Capricorn, retrograde, forms an inconjunct to Venus at 6° of Gemini. The Saturnine sense of melancholy is increased in his dignity of Capricorn and will not be pleased by the mercurial and fun-loving Venus in Gemini who may be disposed to talk a little more and laugh a little louder. Inconjuncts are uneasy aspects in which we often find trouble resolving their friction and so much go out of our way to separate the energies that cannot get along, like two relatives who snipe at each other until it’s understood that only one can be invited at a time. Which will it be? Saturn, the stern task master, or bubbly Venus in quick silver Gemini?

While Saturn is harried by Venus, he also meets with challenges from Mercury, who squares at 12° Aries and is the ruler of Gemini, where Venus is currently transiting. As a result, Venus is supporting the energies of Mercury via rulership. Mercury comes with all the boldness of Aries which will not mix well with Saturn’s sense of disciplined restraint. Communications could be shut down or hampered should Saturn make his displeasure known. Show respect to this authoritarian element and fealty to the status quo, and it will go a long way to repairing any damage or hurt feelings.

Saturn trines the sun at 9° Taurus which means despite potential clashes with Venus and Mercury, authority, or other older figures will be inclines to work in your favor. This favorable trine may come about as a result of friction from other aspects, because even Saturn can recognize value in undisciplined people and might appoint himself teacher to steer you away from your bad habits, with Saturn in his ruling sign of career-oriented Capricorn, this may play out in your career field among bosses, mentors, and colleagues.

Foggy Neptune at 15° Pisces trines Jupiter at 19° of watery Scorpio. By rulership, Jupiter is a guest in the house which Pluto and Mars rule, which means Jupiter’s expansive nature is giving power to Pluto/Mars – this will set off the conjunction of Pluto at 21° Capricorn with Mars at 22° Capricorn in Saturn’s house. This gang of malefics has great potential for violence and death on the downside, but conversely, transformation and glory on the other. There could be opportunity amid crises. Another theme to keep an eye on would be, not violence and death of individuals, but of career fields via corporations. I would advise caution during this moon.

Black Moon Lilith will also be with them, packing a punch with all her intense sexual energy and power, a rogue’s gallery of shadows if ever there was one. A good way to anticipate what might be brewing is to look back at the Scorpio new moon of November 18, 2017. Events which originated then may now be implicated – I would expect wider political events that started then to reach their final stages with after shocks affecting the general public, often for the worse: expect restraint, constricting laws, enforcement, government scandal, abuse and inappropriate use of power, all creating resentment which simmers with potential violence. It is my hope that out of this chaos, there will be opportunity for positive change once the smoke clears. But all things on heaven and earth are held to irrefutable natural laws – energy can neither be created or destroyed. This law of thermodynamics implies as well that for one thing to happen, it’s energy must pull from somewhere else, and the universe is under no obligation to make that balancing act pleasing to us and our lives. No matter our intentions. So be careful and watchful as fate takes its role in our lives.

This brings us to the north node, which is the path of our life’s quest, our karmic future. North node occupies 10° of Leo, which will make it inconjunct Saturn at 9° Capricorn. Our life’s mission than, might be at odds with conventional rules and wisdom, forcing us to think about how to both please accepted rules of conduct and figure out which rules to break to achieve our life’s mission.

The node trines Mercury at 12° Aries making us more bold in our communications with regards to our purpose, and the nodes squares the sun at 9° Taurus and squares the moon at 9° Scorpio. Intense pressure and fated event regarding wealth, both inner and outer, finance and resources will be indicated, flavoring this moon as well as our future.

~18TH MANSION OF THE MOON: AL KALB~

The heart. Causes discord, sedition, conspiracy against prices and rulers, and revenge from enemies, but frees captives and helps building. With moon here, plant, sow, travel, and go to war.
