I’m a little later than usual to this week’s lunation; no one, it seems, is escaping the intensity of the recent new and full moons, all urged along under the quickening force of a Fire Trine between Saturn in Sagittarius, Uranus in Aries, and the North Node in Leo, bringing fated circumstances into our lives.
While before, quite a few people were experiencing disruptions under the moon’s passage through Cancer, we now have the full moon transiting through Capricorn, Cancer’s opposite. Pluto waits at 18 degrees with open arms to welcome the moon in conjunction. The moon itself is the natural ruler of Cancer, and so events occurring under the previous Cancer new moon may be transforming, ending, or starting all over again at this powerful full moon. In Saturn’s house of Capricorn, the house of career, it may be the Pluto will tear down previous structures within the home or behind the scenes, and this shaking of foundations will be felt on the career scene as well. Call it astrological whiplash, the effect, of being torn between two realms with also be exacerbated by Mars in his fall in Cancer.
Men or those with more masculine personalities will not sit well with Mars in this position. Mars’ usual propensity for action and battle-frenzy might take on a myriad of forms, but they will be hampered or truncated. Well laid plans will go awry and the potential for violence with Pluto in opposition is high. At best, the men in your life might end up being distracted, making poor decisions, or being ineffectual where before they were focused and sure of themselves. Don’t expect too much from the men in your life during this period, they will not be in a position to deliver results with Mars thus afflicted.
Notable aspects under this lunation include a trine between the Sun at 17 degrees Cancer and Neptune at 14 degrees of Pisces. Given the intensity of the Pluto and moon conjunction, it might be ill advised to wander overmuch, as Neptune might lead one astray; but losing oneself to safe and harmless pursuits is highly recommended. Stay at home and binge watch a satisfying show while the moon and Pluto wreak havoc elsewhere.
Jupiter at 14 degrees of Libra squares off against the Sun in Cancer and Pluto and the Moon in Capricorn at 18 degrees. Relationships will also have a stake in what disruptions Pluto and Mars might bring to the home and career sectors. Lives will be changed forever by culminating events that occur now, and Jupiter square suggests a building friction of people at odds with each other. Whether or not you’ve been vigilant or attentive to maintaining your relationships with others will either bear fruit now — or be torn apart under the force of neglect.
This too, will be exacerbated by the ongoing inconjunct between Jupiter and Neptune. People will be having great difficulty pinning down what they need from others and what they can give them in return; and much of the pain that it stirs will be from lack of clarity and the ability to be decisive.
Also inconjunct is Mars and Saturn. With Mars currently uneasy in Cancer, Saturn has the strongest influence. Expect that any violence or poor decisions that erupt beneath the influence of Mars in Cancer will face up to authoritarian Saturn, in ways we might not expect. Resolutions to these problems may end up drowning in red tape. Justice comes, but not enough of it, and not when it’s needed most.
Lastly, a semi-square between Venus in Gemini and the Sun in Cancer suggest too, that payments are held up or not forthcoming, or love is withheld, blocked, and turned aside — either of these conditions will end up being drawn out and painful, akin to pulling a band aid slowly in the belief doing so will hurt less in the long run, and there won’t be much solution but to power through it and breathe deep. Eventually, the check will clear, and the reluctant lover will come to a conclusion on whether to nourish romance or wither it.
